The mission of the Staff Assembly is to promote communication and understanding, provide a forum for the expression and exchange of ideas, and address concerns of the Staff with the goal of fostering a superior University. The TCU Staff Assembly was established in 1999 to provide an opportunity to discuss issues and address concerns of all staff. The Assembly consists of both exempt and nonexempt staff, representing all areas of the University. Meetings, held monthly from September to May, include invited guests and guest speakers as well as the Chancellor or his designee. Elections are conducted in the spring and delegates are selected by their peers for two-year, renewable terms. Directed by an Executive Committee of officers, the Staff Assembly also has a number of committees to carry out its work: Elections, Professional Development, Policy Review, Community Service, Committee on Committees, Web Site and College Resource Program. |
