Tuition benefit checklist
Are you a Fulltime TCU employee employed before May 31, 2004?
- If yes, then you are eligible for 100% of TCU tuition for your dependents (children or spouse) after one year of service.
- If no, then you are eligible for 50% of TCU tuition for your dependents after one year of service and 100% of TCU tuition after three years of service.
- Refer to official policy for complete information.
Your child must be a dependent (you provide 51% or more of their care -food, shelter etc. - make sure he or she is listed as a dependent on your tax return).
Dependents are eligible for undergraduate assistance only.
Dependents may receive benefits through the semester he or she turns 24 years old.
Dependents must maintain satisfactory progress or the benefit will end. Fulltime (12+ hours per semester) undergraduate students must:
- Complete and receive academic credit for at least 24 hours annually.
(See Section V of tuition benefits) - Maintain a TCU grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.0 on hours completed.
- Not be on academic probation
The maximum limit of tuition that will be paid is 110% of the number of hours required for a specific program. >
If a dependent doesn’t get into TCU, TCU will reimburse you if your child attends TCC or your local community college.
- Employees only need one year of service, regardless of hire date.
- Doesn’t cover vocational or trade programs.
- Tuition assistance can’t be combined with other grant or scholarship awards.

Take a TCU tour with your student.
Tours are offered Monday through Friday at 9:30 and 2:00 from the TCU Office of Admission. Please call 817-257-7490 to schedule a tour.
