Chancellor's Award Nomination

Dear Colleagues:
I am pleased to announce the opening of nominations for the second annual Chancellor’s Staff Award for Outstanding Service.
The result of a recommendation from the Staff Assembly in 2002, this award now resides in the Chancellor’s office and provides an opportunity to affirm the important contributions that staff make to the mission and vision of the University community, and elevate those contributions to a higher level of recognition and appreciation. Individuals from all staff levels (exempt and non-exempt) in all divisions of the University are eligible for consideration. Nominations may be submitted by faculty, staff, and students. The criteria for nomination and the selection process are outlined on the attached form. The recipient will be announced at the Opening Day Luncheon in August 2004.
This award stands alongside other major recognition awards given annually at TCU, such as our teaching, scholarship, and mentoring awards. I encourage you to read the attached form and submit one or more nominees—along with supporting documentation—to my office no later than May 1, 2004. Your nominations will be forwarded to the appropriate division or Brite for review. If you have any questions about the award program, please do not hesitate to contact the vice chancellor of your division, the President of Brite, or me.

Me complace en anunciar el comienzo de las nominaciones para el segundo Premio del Canciller al Personal por Servicio Ejemplar, premio anual en TCU.
Según la recomendación de la Asamblea de Trabajadores en 2002, este premio ahora reside en la oficina del Canciller y proporciona una oportunidad para afirmar las contribuciones importantes que el personal hace con relación a la misión y visión de la comunidad universitaria, así como elevar aquellas contribuciones a un nivel más alto de reconocimiento y apreciación. Se tomará en cuenta al personal de todos los niveles (exento o no exento) y divisiones de la universidad. Se invita a la facultad, al personal, y a los estudiantes a someter sus nominaciones. Los criterios para la nominación y el proceso de selección están descritos en el formulario adjunto. El recipiente será anunciado en el Almuerzo del Día de la Apertura en agosto 2004.
Este premio equivale a otros premios mayores de reconocimiento otorgados anualmente en TCU, como por ejemplo nuestros premios por enseñanza, erudición, y tutelaje. Les recomiendo que lean el formulario adjunto y que presenten uno o más candidatos—con la documentación pertinente—a mi oficina, a más tardar el 1ro de mayo, 2004. Sus nominaciones serán enviadas a la división apropiada o a Brite para su revisión.
