Johnson was thanked for the Skiff article about the Staff Assembly.
Employers
from around the Metroplex meeting on the subject of mediation, on the TCU
campus reported discussing the Conflict Resolution Guidelines of TCU.
Responses
to the Salary questionnaire were good.
Chancellor’s
Report
In
the absence of Chancellor Ferrari, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, Don
Mills spoke about the Berry Street Initiative and the role of TCU in the
initiative. He stated that work
should begin soon on the realignment of the street, and the members of the
Initiative are working diligently to make “something happen”.
Program
Associate
Provost for Academic Affairs, Larry Adams brought us up to date concerning the
International Education Program, and introduced Dr. Jaime Castillo from Peru
who spoke to us also.
Associate
Vice Chancellor for Academic Support, Leo Munson spoke to us about the
Distance Learning program.
Committee
Reports
Community
Service—Mary Lane reported to the Chancellor that the recommendation that
FWISD be the recipient of the Staff Assembly Community Service project was
approved. A committee will meet
later this month to coordinate the program.
Election
Committee—Some names were omitted and others wrongly left on the ballots, so
revised ballots are on the way. They
will be due back on March 14 and counting will be on March 15 and 16 from 2-5
at the Kelley Center, Monroe Conference Room.
Policy
Review—Glen Hulme not present to present report.
Web
Page—Carlene Coover introduced the Web Page Committee consisting of Emily
Burgwyn, Lisa Winter, Sharon Hudson and Ross Bailey.
She then demonstrated the Staff Assembly Web Page and encouraged its
use.
